400 million children who constitute 41% of India’s population have once again been ignored. The share for children in the budget allocation has only a marginal increase from 3.7% last year to 4.1%.
Chennai, January 11, 2010: Kevin Jenkins, President & Chief Executive Officer, World Vision International, will undertake a five-day working visit to India, in the week beginning January 18, 2010. The trip will mark his first official visit to India since he took over as President and CEO of World Vision in October 2009. As part of his trip, Mr. Jenkins will visit some of World Vision India’s programs in Kolkata, Kalrayan hills and Chennai.
