Working with Bonded Labourers

Constituting a cheap and malleable workforce, children are easy targets for unscrupulous employers. Tired, hungry, exploited and abused, these young lives have absolutely no hope of escape. Lack of education makes it impossible for them to ever escape poverty.

World Vision works with casual and bonded child labourers. Debts are paid off; parents are educated on the legal aspects of bonded labour and helped through income generation programmes. Depending on circumstances, children are given formal or non-formal education. Vocational training also equips children with skills that will make them financially independent.

Every child born into this world has the right to basic amenities like food, clothing, shelter, education and health. You can make this possible! Wipe away poverty from the faces of these innocent children!
