Working with the Street Children

The streets are the only homes that many children will ever know. Though the circumstances under which they live on streets differ, each one is vulnerable to abuse, harassment and humiliation. Often, they are rounded up by the police and subjected to interrogation and lock-ups.

World Vision reaches out to these children through hostels and night shelters, and also provides them with formal and non-formal education, health services and skills training. Parents are helped through income generation programmes, so that they can provide their children with safe homes.

Every child born into this world has the right to basic amenities like food, clothing, shelter, education and health. You can make this possible! Wipe away poverty from the faces of these innocent children!
