Pushpa from Rajasthan. Her parents beam at her proudly as she goes on to explain how much she loves
studying.
“I was married off at 16,” explains her mother. I don’t want that to happen
to my children. I want my children to stand on their own and support themselves first,” she says.
“If it were not for their child sponsors, we would not be able to send them to school.”
