Our approach to development of children with disability and person with disability
The social approach focuses on society and addresses the fact that society fails to accept and accommodate all its members. People with impairment are disabled by society in the sense that they are deprived of their rights and opportunities.
Inclusion: Inclusion is the desired state that, all people including people with disabilities participate equally and benefit equally from policies and programs in political, economic, societal and spiritual spheres without barriers or discrimination.
Mainstreaming: Mainstreaming means including people with disabilities, their concerns and experiences are as an integral part of programs and projects. It is an approach rather than a program or project in itself and requires the removal of attitudinal, institutional or environmental barriers that exclude people with disabilities.
Our Principles:
Equal participation of the People with disability in all decision making in programs cycle and in society at large
Programs focus on ensuring sustainability.
Programs work towards being community-based rather than using the institutional, segregated approach.
