Viswasamary, a single mother from a small village in Palakkad, lives with her son Midhun and daughter Midhula. She works as a daily wage labourer, with her son also contributing to support the family. Midhula is currently pursuing a diploma course. Tragically, their home was destroyed in a fire caused by an electrical short circuit. They lost all their household items, educational materials, clothes, kitchen essentials, furniture, and appliances. With no belongings left, they are struggling to meet their basic needs and continue Midhula's education. They are seeking urgent financial assistance to begin rebuilding their lives. Riya, a fifth standard student from Boriguma, lives with her parents and three siblings. Her parents are daily wage labourers. Recently, their house collapsed due to prolonged heavy rainfall. Fortunately, the entire family survived. They are now living under a temporary polythene shelter with little protection, exposed to harsh weather and constant fear. We seek to support the family by providing essential construction materials cement, bricks, rods/pipes, sand, and roofing sheets to help rebuild a safe and durable shelter. Thanuriya, a 5th-grade student, lives with her mother Kalpana and grandmother. Kalpana, a single parent, is the sole breadwinner of the family. Thanuriya is a bright and regular student who dreams of becoming a doctor. In July, after experiencing constant fever, cold, throat pain, and cough, she was diagnosed with papillary thyroid carcinoma (thyroid cancer). She was hospitalized and underwent surgery to remove the thyroid gland. The family has already spent nearly ₹2 lakhs on her treatment. Doctors have now advised four sessions of radiotherapy, each costing ₹85,000. The family is struggling to manage the medical expenses and is in urgent need of support to continue her treatment and ensure she receives the necessary care.
