Disability

The objective of our work around disability is that people and children with disabilities will have equal opportunities to enjoy dignity, self worth and self reliance without any discrimination, barriers and bias.

Through our inclusive approach, we work towards bringing the voices of the people to the policy makers and to the society, changing attitudes about disability and improving the lives of people and children with disabilities at the grass roots.

World Vision ensures that children and people living with disabilities overcome barriers, their opinions considered, their voices heard and they are given just and fair opportunities in society.

When you sponsor a special child, you provide the child with –

  • Nutritious food to combat malnutrition
  • Corrective surgery for children affected with polio to correct their disability to a certain degree, mobility aids and equipments
  • Physiotherapy sessions to enhance the motor capacity, and most important of all
  • Quality education at all levels from reputed schools and colleges. This also includes Braille for the visually impaired.
