World Vision India Child Sponsor

My parents taught me to always help the people around us. My journey with World Vision India began in early 2007. But I had to discontinue my sponsorship after 2010 due to a financial crisis. I started sponsoring again in 2016. Now I am so happy and thankful to God for being able to be the light in a child’s life. I lost my mother in 2006 and my father in 2015. Both were an inspiration to me. Now my wife and children are giving me more strength and inspiration to help those in need. My 20-year-old son is Autistic and unable to communicate like us. My daughter is in the 11th standard. I am glad to continue my sponsorship with World Vision India because I’m sure the organisation is helping a lot of children and making their lives colourful and brighter. May God bless you all for this noble service.

Mohini

Mohini

Little children like Mohini earn Rs. 10 for stitching a football for over two days. Mohini was only eight when she began helping her mother stitch footballs. Caught in poverty, she wilfully left school to work with her mother and earn an income for the family. When Mohini turned 11, she pleaded with her mother to send her younger siblings to school. But her mother helplessly had to say no. Her income was only sufficient to feed the family two square meals a day. Thanks to sponsors like you, wholly free from informal labour, today, Mohini is 14 years old and goes to school. Not only her, but her younger siblings are school-going children as well.
