MSSW awards for Chennai Flood Relief response

World Vision India was awarded the Mary Clubwala Jadhav Award by the Madras School of Social Work on 30th March, 2015, in appreciation of our committed relief efforts during the Chennai Floods.

World Vision India was recognised for its commitment and dedication shown in Chennai Flood Relief and Rehabilitation Services with social justice, respect and appreciation of human diversity, worth and dignity of all people and for making a difference in the lives of people and having met the highest standards of excellence in humanitarian service.

The Chennai floods caused widespread destruction and loss of life in Chennai and parts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh in December, 2015. Through immediate food relief and relief kits containing non-food items, hygiene kits, tarpaulin, mats and others, World Vision India was able to reach nearly 20,000 families.
